The dating of Ryburgh’ Postcards with reference to postmarks and contemporary Postal Rates
Cards of these first two series would seem to be the earliest, in general circulation 1905-1911 They were printed with three different sized typefaces in red/brown and sent for a half-penny:

Image No 19 above had not been seen as an individual card before. It was taken from an interesting compilation photopostcard post en september 1912. It is difficult to know whether this was an official issue from the publisher or a private one-off from a retailer?
